It’s nearly Easter and the students are getting ready for the Easter Break.  Lots of students will go travelling, enjoying all that Australia has to offer.  We got into the spirit of things and ran a little Easter competition … guess the number of eggs!  You wouldn’t think it would be so popular would you, but we were inundated with guesses; even the visitors were guessing.  Happy to say the eggs have been handed over

Welcome to all of the new students that have already arrived; we hope you are settling in.  There are still a few more students to arrive but the count down is on for O Week and then the start of semester 1, 2023.  So have fun, enjoy yourselves but don’t forget that O week is NOT real university life.  It’s a little bit crazy, it’s a lot of fun AND it does finish, we promise. 

Can we really believe it is 2023?  Christmas and New Year seemed to go extremely quickly on the complex with over 80% of the students staying over.  Rental properties are hard to find at the moment on the Sunshine Coast so the students were really smart to just extend into 2023 rather than hope that a room would be available after Christmas.  To the lucky 20% that are due to arrive over the next few

Amazingly we still have roughly 80% of the complex occupied this Christmas and New Year.  It is unusual for so many students to stay on over this period but this year, it’s a little different.  There has been lots of christmas frivolity on the complex – fancy dress, shared christmas cooking and a few secret santa gifts.  We hope you all had an amazing time and are looking forward to 2023.

We can’t believe it’s nearly the end of Semester ! How did that happen?  We are getting lots of applications already for new students to arrive so don’t forget to let the office know if you want to keep your room into next semester.  Keep working hard – you are nearly there!

The students got very excited about Halloween this year and some of the outfits were excellent.  The local restaurants/bars were offering prizes for the best dressed and some of our students were in the winning groups.  All great fun, just before the exams so we hope they all let of a little steam and are now ready to focus.  Nearly there guys – not long until the end of semester.

We hear lots of you are taking advantage of our central location here on the Sunshine Coast and visiting some of the nearby amazing places in the term break.  Within a couple of hours of here you have Fraser Island, Stradbroke Island, Bribie Island, Double Island point – how many islands do you want to see?  A little further afield, but still in Queensland you can easily visit the Whitsunday Islands which is a MUST

So you all managed to get through O week and should be settling into the routine of Uni and sharing accommodation nicely …. we hope so anyway.  We are looking at dates for this Semester’s beach volleyball competition but firstly, we need someone to hold up their hand to help organise and referree.  Any takers?  Lots of students love getting involved on the day but not so much for the organising and refereeing.  We are

The complex is busily receiving lots of new students for Semester 2 which is always exciting.  To add to the buzz, we have some international students back on site.  It’s been a couple of years since we have seen so many internationals and it really does create a different atmosphere.  So to everyone that is already here … Hello, welcome – congratulations on picking THE best student accommodation complex on the coast.  O week is
